ABOUT
Dan Higginson is a photographer from the Medway towns of Kent, working across the UK and beyond.
Inspired by his working-class roots, his photographs centre on authenticity, taking a gentle approach to building mutual trust with his subjects. Many of which have never been photographed professionally. Having honed his eye studying Documentary Photography and Photojournalism at UAL, Dan’s work has been published in The Guardian and The Big Issue and exhibited in galleries, including Copeland Gallery, The Art House, and the London College of Communication.
A thoughtful and committed artist, Dan is the founding member of The Idle Hands Society, a growing global community for creatives, where he co-hosts a podcast exploring the creative process by interviewing artists across disciplines, such as photographers, painters, directors, musicians, and visual artists. Through his work and the Idle Hands Society, Dan has also contributed to several books and magazines.
